Green Screen: Punch a Shark
This is probably the closest I have ever been to a shark (and it's digital). I designed the water and kelp in Cinema 4D and composited that along with some 2D elements and Green Screen Footage using After Effects and Nuke. The shark was rigged and animated in Maya. (I did not make the shark model).
The breakdown of the scene is in VFX Demo Reel on homepage.
Ocean Simulation
This is a short simulation of an ocean using the BOSS Editor in Autodesk Maya. I used Arnold for rendering and Nuke for Compositing.
Energy Blast
This is a short simulation of a robot holding an energy sword while firing an energy blast in the other hand. I modeled and animated the cape using nCloth. Both the sword and the blast were both made using nParticles. I re-rigged and animated the right hand to hold the sword.
Green Screen: Outer Space
This is a very brief green screen replacement project. I used After Effects to create the background.
Rain Simulation
This is a short simulation of a hovercar flying in a storm. I created rain, fog, and heat haze using particles in Autodesk Maya
Statue Shatter
This is a short simulation of a gold statue being shattered by a fast-moving object. I split the statue into different pieces using Realflow and animated the shatter using Bullet dynamics inside of Maya.
Raindrops
This is a short simulation of raindrops on a window. The raindrops were made using nParticles and expressions in Maya
Melting Animation
This is an animation of a jade statue melting. I made the state using a 3D Scanner on myself. In Autodesk Maya, I animated the melting animation using ncloth.
Burning Tree
This is a short simulation of a tree on fire. The fire and smoke were made using fluids and particles inside of Maya.
